When historical preservation demands more than a flat image
Fragile history remains inaccessible when restricted to traditional captures. Beyond the physical risk of handling, the greater danger is that scholarly insight stalls when artifacts are reduced to static, two-dimensional shadows.
The Intellema Design Challenge
Museums and restoration teams require high-fidelity digitization of fragile artifacts to facilitate remote research without physical handling. Current workflows often struggle to maintain the structural accuracy needed for expert review and long-term digital archiving.
The project focused on a repeatable pipeline that transforms 2D captures into usable 3D geometry with high-fidelity detail preservation. It aimed to provide a browser-based platform for non-technical users to engage with complex heritage assets seamlessly.
A repeatable system converting artifact imagery into usable 3D geometry while significantly reducing manual reconstruction effort.
Intricate shape and surface textures maintained to meet rigorous professional standards for expert review and digital archiving.
A browser-based platform allowing non-technical users to view and interact with 3D assets seamlessly.
Preprocessing and validation checks to ensure consistent, reproducible, and high-quality outputs for every model.
